The Thrive Approach

We are very proud to be a school that has embraced the Thrive approach.

The Thrive approach gives us the tools to develop healthy, happy confident children who are ready to learn and cope with challenges in their learning and lives. Thrive is based on the latest advances in neuroscience, attachment theory and child development with a strong focus on helping children identify and express their emotions in a healthy way.

The school has 3 licensed practitioners and a Thrive trainer who are able to plan provision for all children to develop strong social, emotional and mental health skills. The Thrive approach also enables us to work in a targeted way with children who may have struggled with difficult life events and to help them re-engage with life and learning.

What does it take to develop healthy, happy, confident children who are ready and open to learning? Recent advances in neuroscience, attachment theory and child development have provided some of the answers to this question.

The Thrive Approach draws on insights from these fields to provide a powerful way of working with children and young people that supports optimal social and emotional development. In addition, the Approach can equip you to work in a targeted way with children and young people who may have struggled with difficult life events and to help them re-engage with life and learning.
