Sports Leaders

The Sports Leaders support children across school at lunchtimes. They demonstrate their core values and encourage other children to do the same. They play games, include everyone and role model positive behaviour. Throughout the year, they learn how to resolve conflict between friends which leads to a happier lunchtime for all children. This team works closely with the Lunchtime Supervisors to set up games and make sure everyone is playing well together.

This year, our Sports Leaders had a further development opportunity by being trained by Real PE. In this session, they were taught new games to play and how to develop team work and leadership whilst working with others. In their usual role, Sports Leaders will model techniques in sports to other classes, they organize and set up Sporting Events and have a huge role during Sports Day when they lead events. These leaders work closely with Mr Pearl, and are our role models of sportsmanship and positive behaviour in sports.
