Sports Funding
At Courthouse Green we believe that Physical Education plays an essential role in health and well-being of body and mind, having a positive impact on the attitude, concentration and achievement of pupils. Our aim is for children to grow up enjoying sport and physical exercise and well-being and choose to continue to participate in sport throughout their adult lives.
All pupils take part in regular physical activity, whether that be with our specialist PE staff, class teachers or during dinner time or after school as part of an inclusive and varied program of different activities and clubs on offer. Children are being given the opportunity to enjoy quality lessons due to increasing confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff and a broader range of sports and activities are now on offer than ever before.
We are also becoming far more competitive, participating in out of school events and competitions where we enter into the vast majority of Sainsbury’s School Games Events and competitions.
Here an increasing number of children get the opportunity to pull on the Courthouse Green Shirt and represent the school with real pride at an ever increasing multitude of different sports. Broadening experiences and giving children memories and a love for competing that will stay with them and with the support and help from school and the links being forged, enable them to find pathways into sports and clubs outside of just the school environment.
