LITERACY
Narrative, from newspaper texts to recounts.
Within these various contexts, the children have learned how to apply adjectives to nouns and adverbs to verbs. Some children have begun to apply adverbial phrases to sentences.
NUMERACY
Children have worked very hard in Numeracy this term. We have focussed on all four operations to solve single and multiple step problems. Children have also worked on area and weights and measures.
Children are using their skills of measuring weight and quantities to bake cakes.
Children have covered a number of different topics this term from Coventry's history, talking about the Blitz, visiting the Transport Museum and Cathedral.
Children have also enjoyed finding out about rivers from around the world and their key features... Water falls increase the current on the lower course of the river.
Children have also talked about our famous Lady Godiva who rode through the street's of the city naked so that people wouldn't have to pay crippling taxes.
