Theme for Autumn term (2nd half): Colours and changes

This term Year 1 have been learning about colours and changes.

They have been writing poems about colours and describing how colours make them feel and what different colours remind them of.

They have made their own themed colour wheels e.g. natural colours, warm colours.

They have investigated how to mix colours and make warm and cool colours.  They have been on 'colour walks' and painting and writing accounts of the autumn and winter colours.

They really enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London and interpreting this history work using silhouettes.
